As this is my first GM of an 1846 - please be even more alert than usual for any inaccuracies.
I will also tend to comment on any emerging administrative matters - which you can cheerfully ignore. I had been representing the “3 of 5” (and similar) trains as “3/5”. That was fine as seen in my adjudication program but odd in the list of trains in the below where it shows as “3/5/3”. So, I have changed to calling the train “3~5”. “3/5” is better but changing the symbol used for the quantity of an element would mean changes to all reports. I might still do that though. The train availability below shows three 4 trains and three 3~5 trains … which is true but only until one of them is bought. If you think of a better (as in easier) way to represent the situation then please advise. The Steamboat marker (aka token) was placed during the Private Income stage of OR1 but is reported as part of the B&O's turn as that is the corporation to which it is assigned. The marker is not (yet?) shown on the map but is reported after the portfolios below. The extra tiles lays (such as made by the NYC using the power of the O&I) are reported in the notes (as is the case for other titles in Minstrel). Finally - if I had looked and understood the situation with the PRR operating after the NYC then I would have been remiss to ask for two ORs. But I did not grok that and thus thanks to Mike who had to ask (politely) for the one OR. And that is enough warbling about the life of a GM. It's all about me don'tcha know. |
